Grandpa's Motorcycle Stereo Case

Build it Yourself

Most people mount it to the windshield, through two of the windshield bolts, some mount it on the handlebars, they are using a 1 in. split taillight mounting bracket, you can buy in most parts catalogs.

You can make the case fit about any bike, there is no set way to mount the case, you can mount it right side up or upside down you may have to put risers on the handlebars or switch handlebars, you can’t have a speedometer, or tack in the way, you need about 4 inches of space between the windshield and the handlebars, the case is usually mounted to the windshield through two of the windshield bolts, use a rubber washer or two between the windshield & case and a rubber washer, steel washer & lock nut inside the case. The case can be mounted right side up or upside down. The case is cut for a standard car radio & 4 in. speakers. The stereo case dimensions are approximately 22 long 10 deep, the radio part is 4 to 4 ½ and there is a 2 in. offset for the speakers, the speaker hubs are about 5 3/4 inches. The antennas I sell mount inside the case.
